From overwhelmed to understood.
About Untangled OT:
Untangled OT specialises in occupational therapy assessment and coaching for neurodivergent adults, and specialist in-person paediatric OT for children and young people from birth to 18.
For so many neurodivergent people and their families, the journey to diagnosis is long, exhausting, and hard-won. And then, after all of the waiting, the questioning, the finally having a name for it, the support on offer is often limited. Medication, where applicable, can be a helpful piece of the puzzle. But it's only ever one piece. The practical side of life; the daily routines, the work challenges, the executive function, the relationships, the sheer effort of keeping everything together rarely gets the attention it deserves.
That's the gap Untangled OT exists to fill.
A diagnosis explains a lot. But it doesn't automatically make the washing up easier, the inbox less overwhelming, the school day more manageable, or the workday less exhausting. Real, lasting change comes from understanding how a person's brain works in the context of their actual life and building practical, realistic strategies around that. That's what occupational therapy does, and it's what's so often missing from post-diagnosis support - for adults and children alike.
At Untangled OT, the approach is holistic, person-centred, and grounded in the belief that neurodivergent people of all ages deserve more than a prescription and a leaflet. Every assessment starts from a place of genuine curiosity about how this brain works, what's getting in the way, and what meaningful support actually looks like for this person.
